Race Report

What a race! This has to go down as one of the best endurance events we have run. At one one point, seven teams were in the hunt for the lead. The eventual winner, Jim Bishop and second place, Kieds Fisher put on one wild show right up to the end.  Kieds Fisher and Mike Hansen led laps 1-85, 149-184, and 191-197.

Jim Bishop led laps 86-148, 185-190, and 198-250.  Kieds and Mike had their hands full with problems and Randy Hara/Bill Saso right on their bumper up to the end. This race had more drama with cars flying in and out the pits until the checkered flag fell. Great race length time too!  54:08.67. Just about 15 minutes quicker than the electric 250 lap race in May. Hard to compare with different courses and the electric cars. The pit stops were difficult to time as you never knew what team was just fueling, changing cars/drivers or making repairs.  The people that stuck around for this great race were not disappointed.  Lot’s of noise, speed and crashing. The crowd loved it!
