Race Day

What you need to know...

  • You are signed up. You have signed up in the right class, gave us your radio frequency number and have paid your entry fee.

  • After the Heats are posted,  be sure your name, the class you’re racing in and your frequency are correct.  If the’re not, let us know immediately.

  • You can practice after the course is set up and until we have the Driver’s Meeting.  About an 1/2 hour.

  • You must attend the Driver’s Meeting for race day instructions.

Lets Race!

  • Get your car numbers.  Put one on the front of the car and one on each door so if your transponder doesn’t count, we can hand count you.

  • Mount your transponder.  Your transponder must be mounted in front of your front windshield by drilling a 1/4” hole in the body.

  • Test your transponder. Wave your car over the counting bridge and if it beeps, you’re ready to go. If, not let us know immediately

  • Heat starting position.  Place your car on the starting grid.  Car #3 starts in the 3rd position.  In the second Heat, its the opposite. Car #3 starts in the 7th position.

  • Make sure your radio is turned on, listen for the race beep & Go!

After the Race...

  • Turn your car and radio off immediatley. The next group of racers are ready to start their race and if you left your radio on, it will spoil their race. Never turn your radio on except for when you are racing!

  • Return your transponder immediately. The next racer is waiting for it and you might be disqualified for your race if we have to halt the race asking you to return it.

  • Turn Marshall. You must Turn Marshall, which means you will pick up the cars that crash in the race after yours. Let the cars under power go by and make sure its safe to return the car to the track. Do not run on to the track when cars are in front of you.  Be careful with Gas cars, they are Hot!  After the race is over, you may return to your pits. If you do not Turn Marshall after your race, the next time you race you will have a orange dot placed on your car which will tell the turn marshall’s not to Turn Marshall your car should you crash.
  • Technical Inspection.  After the Main event, if you finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd, we will look at your car to see if it meets the rules and is legal.

  • Awards.  If you pass technical inspection, you will be awarded a plaque at the announcers booth.
