After 16 years of staging RC races, we are going on hiatus for awhile.
We will host special races from time to time if interest in radio control car racing increases.
Over the last year, with decreasing interest in radio control cars and ultimately race participation, we
decided to take some time off.
However, we will be available to host private events as we did for a four day event for Cisco. As a business and not a club sponsoring races, we had increasing expenses that made it difficult to not experience losses. Unreturned transponders, increases in liability insurance, Workman’s Compensation and some poor sportsmanship are reasons that lead us to regrettably make this decision.
We have incurred losses in the past, however RC sales through the store usually offset this. With increased competition from mail-order and now with an increased internet presence, retail dealers just
don’t enjoy purchases from the racers like we use to. As an observation, if you’re one of those racers who buys from the internet or mail-order to save a couple bucks, if there are no longer any more RC races,
was it worth the savings? Food for thought.... Watch for our internet site in the fall of 2005.
When we resume sponsoring radio controlled car races, we will continue to make it our goal
to see that you have a great day of racing. You can’t beat the weather, the large spectator crowds and the action. If you’re a entry level driver, this is where you want to start your racing career. Entry fees are $15 for the 1st one and $8 for the 2nd. If you really like to race, the 3rd entry is free!
Our newly paved parking lot course is lined with fire hose
to save those parts from breaking and electrical outlets to power up your chargers. There are no membership or insurance fees. We do ask that you sign up prior to the day of the race due to large turnouts.
You can sign-up by phone or
drop by anytime prior to race day. We use the computer driven Dynatrax counting system with the proven Autoscore race program to tell you how fast you’re going and what your
lap times are. If there are 10 racers in the A-Main you can win a cool trophy for 1st thru 3rd. Other racers will receive tool box plaques for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in all other main events.
